MEDICAL experts will visit Huntington School’s sixth form tomorrow to see the students run their Link Group, when senior citizens meet students for a cup of tea and to take part in activities.
YorMed ambulance staff will talk to the senior citizens and give a short presentation about strokes and heart attacks, their signs and symptoms and first aid treatment.
Pensioners will also have the chance to get their blood pressure checked, followed by a question and answer session.
An emergency ambulance will be on hand to allow them to see what equipment is carried.
YorMed will also talk about The Press’s Lifesavers campaign on organ donation.
Ashley Mason, of YorMed, said: “This is an excellent opportunity to meet with people in the community. It is also a great chance to pass on lifesaving information by teaching the signs and symptoms of two major medical emergencies.”
