CHILDCARE experts from Sweden will visit York today to share their experiences and learn how their counterparts in the city run services for youngsters.
Charlotte Kvarnstrom, Magnus Domberg and Patrik Johansson, who are all managers of family centres in the Scandinavian city of Vasteras, are on a two-day exercise.
They will talk to managers of City of York Council’s children’s services section, which has recently been independently assessed as being one of the top ten in the country.
The visit was organised after the council’s children’s centre managers worked with their Swedish equivalents last year to find out how services are run in their country.
