The Big Green Market has come to York, giving people the chance to sample and buy a selection of ethically traded, organic and locally produced goods.
The event, marking its fourth visit to the city, is based in Parliament Street, with a marquee in St Sampson’s Square.
It arrived yesterday, and will be there today, tomorrow and on Sunday, between 9am and 5pm.
The event is organised by Thirsk-based Jane Redfern, and Paul Kennedy, who have collaborated on this project to bring green/eco-products, locally produced and ethically traded goods into town centres.
Jane said: “This year the mix of stallholders is even better than ever.
“Expect to see a wide range of contemporary, eco-friendly and quirky products from all over the world ranging from designer luxury to pocket-money purchase.
“Feel good by sourcing your Christmas presents ethically this year.”
