ORGANISERS of York’s annual community carol concert are reminding people they can now buy their tickets and help make this year’s event a big success.
The concert will be staged at the University of York’s Central Hall at 2.30pm on Sunday, December 12, with proceeds going to The Lord Mayor and Sheriff of York’s Christmas Cheer Fund and the Guardian Angels children’s unit at York Hospital.
Attractions include York Senior Schools Concert Band, St Nicholas’s Church Choir from Dunnington, a joint school choir from St Barnabas CE Primary School and Carr Junior School and the Steve Cassidy Band.
Organiser Graham Bradbury said ticket sales were moving very slowly so far, and he wanted to remind people they could be bought from the Grand Opera House box office at a cost of £7 by cash or cheque.
People could also contact info@yorkcommunitycarols.co.uk or phone 01904 708330, so arrangements could be made to post tickets to their address.
