THE RSPCA’s York animal home is appealing for bedding and blankets to keep its animals warm during the cold winter months.
Angela Hunter, branch manager of the Landing Lane home in Holgate, said it could use duvets, blankets or even old curtains and towels to provide bedding for the animals.
She said: “We’re running dangerously low, especially in this cold snap, as we try to give the dogs extra bedding for the winter months.”
She said the home was also running low on long shredded paper which they use for bedding for the smaller animals.
Donations can be left at the home, which is open every day except Monday, between 11.30am and 3.30pm, or phone 01904 654949 for more information.
