HUNDREDS of people heard the Archbishop of York chronicle his journey from Uganda to Yorkshire at an open evening last night.
Dr John Sentamu spoke about his life and faith in front of an audience at All Saints’ Church in Pocklington.
He also answered questions from the audience during the free event, which had been organised by the town’s vicar, the Rev Geoff Hollingsworth.
The Archbishop also visited Selby yesterday to meet farmers, Selby District Council officers and students and staff at Selby College.
He told them: “It’s vital that we help young people develop their potential and make a difference to the communities to which they belong.”
