MOTORISTS are being urged to take care after reports that a horse is loose on the A64 near York.
Police have received a number of reports today from the stretch between Grimston Bar and Hopgrove Roundabout.
Witnesses at about 8.45am said there were three animals tethered loosely to a tree, but police were called again at 1.45pm when a driver reported a black horse that had broken free from its tethering and was walking along the road.
