WHEN schoolboy Adam Henry wanted to know more about a cycle path that passed his York home he decided to do something about it.
But Adam, 11, of Bishopthorpe, didn’t just look at a map to find out the route of the Trans-Pennine Cycle Trail, he decided to go one better.
Starting from his grandparents home in Chester and joined by his uncle, George Williams, Adam cycled 150 miles in only four days before arriving back at his front door in Bishopthorpe.
Adam and his uncle stuck to the cycle trail all the way, travelling through Manchester, over the Pennines and via Doncaster.
Adam said: “Next year I’d like to cycle even further and raise money for charity.”
