A VILLAGE pub in North Yorkshire has undergone a major overhaul under a new landlady – and now Carol Temple wants local residents to help her celebrate.
Carol, who is already the landlady of the Ship Inn, at Acaster Malbis, and the Woodmans, in Bishopthorpe, has now taken the reins of the Rose And Crown at Sutton-on-the-Forest.
Of her new venture, Carol said: “We have spent a lot of money in transforming the decor and revamping the menus and we want everyone to help us come celebrate.
“We have 30 bottles of champagne to share and anyone who wants to come down and help us drink it are more than welcome.”
The celebration kicks off tonight at 7.30pm.
