A NEW website opens a window on the world of restoring York’s treasured stained-glass heritage.
York Glaziers Trust revealed the site, at yorkglazierstrust.org, at Bedern Glaziers Studio, where work is currently under way to conserve York Minster’s Great East Window.
The website gives the public the opportunity to find out more about the extensive national work of the trust, as well as to follow the development of the restoration of the Great East Window which is a five-year project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The trust has the largest team of specialist-stained glass conservators in Britain, who work on a variety of projects.
The website gives more information about the team and the recent and ongoing projects in which they are involved, which include the West Window of Beverley Minster, and the Chapel, New College, Oxford.
