TWO women who were arrested in an investigation into the running of two children's nurseries in York will face no further action.
The pair were among a group of six women arrested last month as part of a probe into the operation of the privately-owned Heworth House and Little Joe's day nurseries.
North Yorkshire Police has today confirmed two of the women have now been released from bail and no action will be taken against them. The other four are still on bail as the investigation, involving the force, City of York Council, Ofsted and the City of York Safeguarding Children Board, continues.
Both Heworth House, in Melrosegate, and Little Joe's, in Hospital Fields Road - which look after about 80 children between them - have remained open during the inquiry.
The nature of the allegations which led the investigation being launched has not been confirmed, but the bodies involved in the probe have said they do not relate to sexual abuse.
