York Hospital is now home to a stunning piece of sculptural art work thanks to renowned artist Sally Arnup.

To coincide with Sally’s current exhibition, which is housed within the Blake Gallery, the artist has lent a scuplture of a turkey to the hospital to brighten up the place for patients, staff and visitors.

Kat Hetherington, art and design project co-ordinator, said: “Over the years the Blake Gallery have loaned us work of the highest quality to display around the hospital. Having something beautiful to look at in a hospital space is so important; it creates a positive environment in which to begin the healing process and something to spark interest in everyone who sees them. ”
