AN antiques show filmed in York and North Yorkshire earlier this year will be on television tonight.
Celebrities toured York and North Yorkshire for treasure as part of a new star-studded version of BBC2’s Antiques Road Trip.
Legendary radio DJ Tony Blackburn and singer and actress Toyah Willcox went on the antiques trail in York, Pickering and Malton with antiques experts Charles Hanson and Charlie Ross for the programme, with the region’s highlights to be broadcast at 7pm on BBC2.
The special version of the series began airing on Monday and features celebrities as they set off on a nail-biting road trip across the UK, competing against each other to make the biggest profit buying and selling antiques.
Travelling in classic vintage cars, the teams are given a starting budget of £400 before starting their engines for the cross-country challenge.
All money made throughout the series will be donated to BBC Children in Need.
