A TEENAGE girl has withdrawn claims that she was the victim of a sex attack near one of York’s nightclubs.
Police launched a detailed investigation into a "serious sexual assault" in or near the Reflex bar in George Hudson Street on Sunday October 30.
The girl has now told North Yorkshire Police that the attack did not happen.
A police spokesman said: “The alleged victim in the case has now withdrawn the allegations and following extensive enquiries, investigating officers from York CID are satisfied that a criminal offence did not take place.”
