ET has paid a flying visit to York in preparation for a movie buffs’ collectors fair tomorrow.
Hundreds of film fans are expected at the event at the Royal York Hotel, along with the Extraterrestrial, Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, a stormtrooper from Star Wars and the Stig from Top Gear. Organiser Nick Andrew, of Hullywood Entertainment from Hull, said there would be about 50 tables in the hotel’s exhibition entre, selling TV, film and sci-fi memorabilia, posters, autographs and film props.
He said people wanting a photograph of themselves with a character or car would be asked to make a donation to Martin House Children’s Hospice. Tickets for the fair, which runs from 10am to 4.30pm, cost £3.50 for adults, and £2 for children.
