THE Archbishop of York received a warm – and wet – welcome on a visit to Jamaica.

Dr John Sentamu got up close and personal with Mitch, a three-year-old dolphin when he visited Dolphin Cove in Ochis Rios on the Caribbean island.

The Archbishop is enjoying his second visit to Jamaica to help islanders kickstart the celebrations marking their 50th anniversary of independence.

His first visit was to lead a service at the Holy Trinity Church in Montego Bay.

Throughout this nine-day tour, the Archbishop will be visiting local schools, home for the aged and civic and community leaders. He will also be taking in the latest visitor attractions, which are proving popular to Jamaica’s thriving tourism economy.
