PLANNERS in Harrogate have told their top official to approve the new £100 million five-star hotel project in Flaxby – subject to conditions.
The scheme for the five star 298-bedroom Flaxby Hotel on the A59 between Harrogate and York will now go to Harrogate’s head of planning services Tim Richard for the final sign off, following a meeting yesterday.
A spokesman for the Skelwith Group, said: “We are absolutely delighted.”
There will be up to 250 construction workers on the site, opposite RR Donnellys printers, and up to 400 jobs created when the hotel is operational.
