YOUNGSTERS from one of France’s most historic cities have been given a taste of York’s colourful past with a visit to the Lord Mayor’s residence.
The visit to Mansion House was part of designated languages college All Saints’ RC School’s programme of events for exchange students from the College du Sacré Coeur in Versailles.
Other highlights include a basketball match and experiencing English lessons.
The families of pupils from Years 8 and 9 at the school in Nunnery Lane, York, are hosting their exchange partners.
All Saints’ pupils will return to Versailles in June, where they will take part in lessons and practise their French speaking skills by interviewing shoppers at a market.
