A YORK school has applied to create a new car park after its current facility was identified as a potential safety risk.
Robert Wilkinson Primary School, in Strensall, York, is looking to replace the car park on the West End site because there are no barriers between it and the neighbouring children’s play area.
If City of York Council planners give their approval for the scheme, the new 32-space car park would be created at the front of the school buildings on a patch of unused grass, together with a new access route from Haxby Moor Road.
