TWO new cycle stores are to be built at the University of York’s new campus at Heslington East.
The facilities will provide space for staff and students using the site’s Hub building to leave their bikes, with 94 spaces being created.
The new building where the stores will be located will be the most prominent part of the first cluster of work at Heslington East, acting as a centre for research and a base for several research groups.
It will also include a 220-seat lecture theatre, a café and a communal meeting area.
The expansion, which will cost £500 million, will virtually double the size of the University once completed.
