PUPILS at Bootham School celebrated National Quaker Week with a visit from The Leaveners, a touring drama group.
Tracey Morley, head of religious education at the York independent school, said: “At Bootham, we are known for our particular style of education.
“Although over 90 per cent of the students are not from Quaker families, the Quaker roots run deep into the heart of Bootham and make us who we are.” Quakers hold to the values of simplicity, tolerance, equality and peace.
