AN INSIGHT into staging a major theatrical production was given to students in York by the director of a play which has just run in the city.
Max Stafford-Clark, of the Out of Joint theatre company, met Fulford School sixth formers to talk about The Big Fellah, a play about IRA recruits in New York.
Panda Cox, education officer at Out of Joint, said Mr Stafford-Clark spoke to the pupils shortly before they went to a performance of the play at York Theatre Royal last week.
She said: “He talked to them about the context of the play and how he approaches the work. He said the students were absolutely lovely and really interested in drama.”
