A CHOIR leader from Harrogate is appealing for musicians from across North Yorkshire to help him in his quest to get the whole country bursting into song.
Brian Davies, who runs the community choir Good In Parts, is setting up a business called Choir Nation which will aim to establish a nationwide network of rock and pop choirs.
He is now looking for choir leaders to run groups throughout the region as part of the initiative, and said: “Potential leaders should be good singers with competent keyboard skills.
“Teaching experience is useful, but the most important thing is that they have bags of personality and are able to put others at ease while inspiring them to enjoy singing.”
Brian has been leading Good In Parts for 12 years, with his partner in Choir Nation being composer, director and producer Allan Rogers, who has been the musical director on more than 600 TV shows including The Generation Game, Noel’s House Party and Stars In Their Eyes.
