A MUSICIAN from North Yorkshire has published a book looking at Harrogate in the 1970s.
Peter Telford lived in Harrogate from 1972 to 1990, and has used the social network site Facebook to gather memories of the town’s music scene for his book, Take A Little Trip.
Peter has performed in bands for more than 30 years, and is now one of the north of England’s leading disability arts practitioners.
He said: “There has been very little written about this era of Harrogate’s history until now and the book offers a snapshot of life in a period of the 20th century told by those who were there.
“It documents memories of shops, pubs, clubs, places we ate, the music scene and a final section containing scans from the old Harrogate College of Further Educations’ Student Union News Sheets.” The book costs £5, and can be bought from Peter’s website, wgtmusic.org.uk
