A York choir will be joining forces with one from Norway for a concert this weekend.
The Micklegate Singers are pairing up members of the Kristiansand Chamber and Opera Choir from southern Norway, who are making their second visit to York.
Both choirs perform a mixture of classical and lighter music from around the world, but with a contemporary flavour.
Micklegate Singers member Chris Hanks said: “We are really looking forward to singing with our Norwegian friends again. Perhaps it’s the Viking connection between the two cities which helps us work so well together.”
The concert is at St. Olave’s Church, Marygate at 7pm today, with tickets available on the door for £5
