AN ELDERLY woman was treated by paramedics after a fire broke out in a ground-floor flat in Malton.
Firefighters and an ambulance were sent to a property in Chandler’s Wharfe, Malton, after wardens at the sheltered accommodation contacted the fire service.
The fire was caused by an accumulation of fat in an oven.
A woman in her 80s was out of the property by the time fire crews arrived.
