OFFICERS from North Yorkshire Police seized more than £1,000 worth of cannabis in a routine stop this week.
The force’s Road Policing Group took to Twitter to praise an officer’s “sixth sense”, after they stopped a Fiat Scudo in Micklegate, Selby, at about 1pm on Wednesday.
A police spokesman said: “Following a search of the vehicle, officers located a quantity of what is believed to be cannabis.
“As a result, the 37-year-old man from Barlby, driving the car, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply.
Officers then carried out a search of home address, where they located and seized a further quantity of what is believed to be cannabis.”
The man has been released on bail while police enquiries continue.
