YORK City boss Billy McEwan has expressed his anger at being snubbed by the England National Game XI set-up.
McEwan had hoped that the club would receive two invites to Wednesday's FA non-League international against Holland at Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium with City striker Clayton Donaldson in the squad.
Donaldson played the last 15 minutes as a substitute and set up Dagenham and Redbridge's Craig Mackail-Smith for the final goal in a 4-1 win.
But McEwan was left unimpressed by a perceived lack of courtesy from the game's organisers.
He said: "We gave them a player for virtually four days but we did not even get invitations to the game. I don't think that's right.
"I shouldn't have to beg for a ticket to see my player play and surely it would only have been courteous to fax us with invites for me and our managing director. That did not happen but I'm learning about how things are run at this level all the time."
McEwan had mixed feelings about Donaldson's brief international debut, saying: "I'm disappointed for him because I thought he would play in that team, as a number of our players could have done, but, despite returning back late for training, it was good for us because he won't be tired."
