VX England have announced a a new club in Stillington, near Easingwold.
Easingwold already has the successful Easi-RockIts and demand for training in V2, formerly named Rockit-ball, has led to the establishment of the new club. The club, which is aiming to play in the National V2 League, will train at Stillington Squash Club on Saturday mornings each month.
The official launch of the club is on Saturday, September 28, at 10am with Tom Hildreth, the current world champion, being guest of honour.
Karen Bruin, one of the club founders, said: “We desperately wanted to take part in the exciting new V2 league and there was no opportunity to do this – so we set up our own club.”
Paul Hildreth, head coach of Easi-RockIts, welcomed the new club, adding: “We have worked closely with the founders of the Stillington club and there will be a lot of cooperation between the two clubs.”
