YORK City have signed former Australia under-20 goalkeeper Alex Cisak on loan from Premier League Burnley, writes Dave Flett.
Cisak has joined the Minstermen for an initial month and will go straight into the squad for this afternoon’s home match with Mansfield.
The 25-year-old shot-stopper is behind first-choice Tom Heaton and back-up Matthew Gilks in the pecking order for a starting place at Turf Moor, where fellow Aussie net-minder Daniel Nizic is also on the books.
Cisak moved to Burnley in the summer of 2013 and made two appearances for the Clarets last season, having started his career at Leicester, where he went out on loan to Oxford and Tamworth before agreeing permanent moves to Accrington Stanley and Oldham.
