BURNLEY right-back Luke Hendrie has signed for York City in a one-month loan deal.
The 21-year-old defender will remain at Bootham Crescent until Saturday, January 30, meaning he is available for the Minstermen's next three games.
Hendrie, who initially started his youth career with Bradford, moved to Manchester United's academy as a teenager.
Upon successfully completing his scholarship with the Red Devils and appearing for England at under-16 and under-17 level, he signed a one-year professional contract but, after failing to make the breakthrough to the first team, he joined Derby County in 2013.
Following two years with the Rams’ development squad, he left for Burnley in the summer of 2015 and earlier this season joined Sky Bet League Two side Hartlepool United on a one month loan.
After making three appearances for Ronnie Moore’s side during October, he returned to Turf Moor where he continued to play for the club’s U21 side.
