PROLIFIC teenage Burnley striker Ntumba Massanka has signed on loan for York City.
Massanka, 19, signed a new professional deal with the Championship Clarets last month having netted 16 times in 14 starts for the club's under-21 side.
The Tottenham-born forward, whose first home was opposite the London club's White Hart Lane stadium, moved to Lancashire at the age of four and spent six years on the books of Manchester United.
He also had a brief spell at Manchester City before joining Burnley.
The 6ft 3in striker's form this season has alerted first-team manager Sean Dyche to Massanka's first-team potential and City chief Jackie McNamara expressed his pleasure at securing his services at Bootham Crescent.
McNamara said: "He's tall and pacy and has scored a lot of goals coming through at Burnley. He's trained with their first team and I'm delighted we've managed to get him in.
"We've had him in for the last week and he's a very exciting player who can finish with both feet. He gives us something different to what we've got and is a big lad with energy and hunger."
Massanka is the Minstermen's third loan signing since the January transfer window opened.
He joins fellow Burnley U21 right-back Luke Hendrie and 18-year-old Newcastle United prospect Kyle Cameron.
City now have four on-loan players at Bootham Crescent with the new recruits joining Middlesbrough forward Bradley Fewster.
The maximum number permitted in any matchday squad is five.
Massanka, meanwhile, has become the Minstermen's 14th loan signing of the campaign.
The others, previously unmentioned in this story, are David Tutonda, Stephane Zubar, Michael Collins, Bryn Morris, Rhys Turner, Will Boyle, Jordan Lussey, Stefan O'Connor, Kenny McEvoy and Mark Kitching.
McEvoy has since made his temporary switch from Tottenham into a permanent deal but the others have all returned to their parent clubs.
A reserve City team, meanwhile, will travel to Guisborough Town next Tuesday (January 19) in the quarter-finals of the North Riding Senior Cup.
The tie will take place at the high-flying Northern League first division outfit's King George V ground and kicks off at 7.45pm.
