YORK City cast-off Tom Platt is returning to Harrogate Town on a one-month loan deal.
The midfielder, who has not played a minute of competitive football for the Minstermen this season, reportedly trained at the CNG Stadium on Tuesday night and will be in contention to face FC United of Manchester in Town's National League North match on Saturday.
It will be the 22-year-old's fifth spell with York's North Yorkshire neighbours, who are in buoyant mood following their 6-0 thrashing of table-toppers Solihull Moors. He made six appearances for them earlier this season - before being recalled by City in late September as cover due to injuries in the camp - and had three spells there between 2012 and 2013.
Platt signed a new one-year deal with City in the summer when Russ Wilcox was boss but is on current manager Jackie McNamara's list of unwanted players.
A statement on Harrogate's website said: "The club is pleased to announce the short-term loan signing of Tom Platt from York City.
"We know his strengths and attributes and as importantly Tom knows what the club is about and what we expect, and he is a valued addition to the squad.
"Tom will be available for selection this Saturday for our away fixture at FC United of Manchester."
A City statement said: "Tom Platt has moved to National League North side Harrogate Town on a one-month loan deal.
"The 22-year-old, who is yet to feature for the Minstermen this season, will join Simon Weaver’s outfit for the second time during the current campaign after making six appearances at Wetherby Road during September.
"It will in fact be the midfielder’s fifth different spell with the nearby non-League outfit, his first in 2012."
