YORK City have handed eight of their schoolboy players two-year apprentice terms.
The Minstermen have recruited Lingdale pair Luke Woodall and Adam Boyes as well as taking on Middlesbrough duo Michael Emmerson and Callam Brown.
Selby's Nathan Parker is also among the new intake along with Sam Burns (Thornton-le-Dale), Joe Knowlson (Knaresborough) and Jonathan McDonald (Stockton-on-Tees).
Striker Parker joined City's schoolboy ranks in 2005 as a Brayton College pupil.
He had previously played for Thorpe United and helped the club lift the York FA Junior Cup at under-12 level.
Lady Lumley's student Burns is a centre-back who has represented the Minstermen since the age of eight and captained the club's Under-15 and U16 teams.
Forward Emmerson has been playing for City for seven years while fellow front-man Boyes and right-back Woodall both joined in 2004.
Goalkeeper McDonald only arrived at KitKat Crescent last year with left-back Brown just completing his fifth season and midfielder Knowlson having signed in 2005.
All eight players and their families attended an induction night at the club, which was hosted by head of youth Eric Winstanley.
