York City striker Richard Brodie was an injury casualty in last night's 2-1 reserve victory over Darlington.
Brodie fell awkwardly on his ankle and left KitKat Crescent on crutches. The extent of the damage will be assessed today.
Second year apprentice Matthew Johnson scored both City goals after replacing Brodie while new signing Simon Rusk impressed, as did trialists Jimmy Beadle and Mike Synnott, who will both continue training with the club and play in the next reserve game.
* City Reserves' postponed home match with Sheffield Wednesday has been rearranged for Wednesday, March 12 (7pm).
