PREMIER League strugglers Fulham are believed to be lining up a six-figure bid for former York City goalkeeper David Stockdale.
The 22-year-old stopper has impressed between the sticks during Darlington's fight for promotion from League Two this season, wrestling a starting place away from former top-flight Bolton and Derby 'keeper Andy Oakes.
Stockdale has kept 20 clean sheets in 42 games this season with scouts from Birmingham City and Newcastle United also monitoring his progress.
But Fulham are expected to swoop for Stockdale as soon as Darlington's season is finished with a possible farewell in the play-off final at Wembley.
Stockdale made 26 appearances for the Minstermen and became an England National Game XI international as first-choice 'keeper under Chris Brass and Viv Busby in 2004/2005. But he was released by Billy McEwan 2006 before signing for Darlington soon after.
