YORK City boss Colin Walker has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect.
A unanimous decision has been made by the club's board of directors and his successor will be revealed on Monday.
Walker's assistant Eric Winstanley has also been dismissed from his position, meaning youth-team coach Neil Redfearn will take charge for Sunday's home match against Crawley Town on a one-match basis only.
Communications and community director Sophie Hicks said: “The board of directors would like to thank Colin Walker for all his efforts as manager over the past year and we would like to wish both Colin and Eric all the best in their future careers.”
