RIGHT-BACK Tom Hirst has been released by York City.
The 18-year-old was signed for the Minstermen by former manager Colin Walker last September following a trial in the reserves.
However, the teenager has failed to force his way into the first-team reckoning at KitKat Crescent.
City manager Martin Foyle has released Hirst to give him an opportunity to find another club before the transfer window closes.
