JOHN Smith’s Men’s Darts League leaders St Paul’s had Martyn Turner (180 for 16 & 18), Chris Thompson (17), Adam Thompson (19) and Paul Cropper (14) playing well in a 9-1 win over Crescent ‘B’.
The only successes for Crescent came from Steve Smith and Neil Fairclough.
Cueball’s best in an 8-2 win over Greyhound were Craig Wedge (18, 180) and Matt Wilson (19, 20), while for Greyhound Stu Limbert (16 & 180) excelled.
Dave Scaum (2 x 20 & 180), Rich Corner (19), John Quantock (14), Lutz Leutzsch (19, 20) and Pip Hair (17) helped Mitre close on the leaders.
They contributed to a 9-1 conquest over hosts Crescent ‘A’, whose Paul Keers (107 c/o for 18) was their only winner.
Gary Joy (20, 21), Dean Cairns (17, 22), Gary Kitson (102 c/o) and Andy Alexander (180 for 20) ensured division two leaders Severus kept an unbeaten record with a 7-3 triumph at Fulfordgate.
Derwent’s Chris Flanagan hit a maximum, as did Flag’s Steve Hedley, before Graham Hudson and Danny Taal took the decider for Flag.
The best player for Tree was Mike Harrison (19) in a 7-3 win over Tang Hall.
Ainsty moved back to the top of division three thanks to Daz Duffill and Dido Alexander winning the decider against third-placed Puss.
