A PLACE in the semi-finals of cricket’s npower Village Cup awaits either Woodhouse Grange or Sessay.
The sides clash in the competition’s last eight on Sunday at Sessay, with the victors one match away from a trip to Lord’s for the final in September.
Grange, who have won the competition twice and were runners-up two years ago, crushed Houghton Main by 113 runs in the last round, while Sessay enjoyed a similarly comfortable victory against Ackworth.
The two teams, who both play in the Hunters York & District Senior League premier division, have met four times this season with Grange winning only once.
