YORK City striker Richard Brodie has signed for Crawley Town.
Crawley have confirmed on their website that they beat the transfer deadline with "minutes to spare" to take the prolific goalscorer.
The 23-year-old has moved for an "undisclosed fee" but The Press understands the figure to be around £300,000 - smashing the Blue Square Bet Premier transfer record.
Brodie, who netted 37 times for the Minstermen last season, has been given the number 29 shirt at Broadfield Stadium.
