Four members of York Land Yacht Club are competing in the Anglia Regatta at Bassingbourn airfield this weekend as part of the British Champion Series.
The club are aiming to repeat the success of the last regatta at Bassingbourn earlier this year when York member Chris Wright won class five and Martin Leach was second in the standard class. They will be joined by fellow York members Mike Bawden, in class five, and John Swain, in class three.
The York Land Yacht Club meet at Elvington Airfield and welcome new members. Anyone interested in a taster day should visit the website www.bfslyc.org.uk, click clubs and then York to contact Bawden.
