YORK trio Helen Walker, Helen Wood and Zoe Eagles line-up in the Ladies National Area play-offs at Darlington IBC on Sunday.

They meet Kath Delacoe’s Redcar side in the triples, starting at 10.30am.

At 12.30pm, Scarborough Carol McLean is up against Thornaby’s Lauren Copeland in the singles, while the pairs final sees Ryedale’s Lyne Metcalfe and Alex Nairn take on Joan Mason’s Thornaby’s double act.

In the fours at 2.30pm, York’s Melanie Brooke, June Clayton, Maureen Walker and Shirley Stacey meet Norma Turner’s Redcar team.

The winners will play in the National Finals at Melton Mowbray between February 25 and March 4.

Division one leaders Scarborough are next up for York in the Yorkshire League on Saturday, at noon, while New Earswick take on Selby in division two.

In the Hebden Trophy, York will be looking to maintain their push when they meet South Leeds, while New Earswick face second-placed North Cave.

New Earswick’s ladies are up against Selby in the North Eastern League.

On Sunday, at 12.30pm, Thanet Road hosts the National Over-60s pairs final between John Whiteley’s Featherstone team and Ian Paddy’s Hornsea side.

New Earswick play a rearranged Yorkshire Ladies League game against Scarborough at Huntington Road, starting at noon.
