Updated: GARY MILLS’ task to build a York City side capable of winning the Blue Square Bet Premier next season has begun in earnest after the Minstermen chief signed up Jamal Fyfield.
The left-sided utility player, who performed at left wing and at centre-half during the final few matches of the season in David McGurk’s and Daniel Parslow’s absence, has agreed a one-year deal with York.
Fyfield, 21, pictured, was signed from Maidenhead last September and made nine starts for York – scoring one goal – as well as having a loan spell back at his former club.
He joins eight other players under contract: Michael Ingham, Parslow, McGurk, Chris Smith, Scott Kerr, Andre Boucaud, Jamie Reed and Jonathan Smith.
