SPECIAL Olympics City of York are inviting young people and adults with learning disabilities to attend an open event to find out more about the Special Olympics, to try new sports and join our existing clubs.
The free event will be taking place at the David Lloyd Leisure Centre in Hull Road, York, on Saturday, September 24, from 2pm until 4.30pm.
There will be the opportunity to try football, tennis, athletics, new age kurling, boccia and short mat bowls.
Anyone attending is asked to wear shoes that will not mark the floor.
