YORK City defender James Meredith has joined the Minstermen's League Two rivals Bradford City.
The Bantams have announced the capture of the 24-year-old, who has put pen to paper on a two-year contract and will officially join up with his new team-mates at Valley Parade on July 1.
Bradford boss Phil Parkinson said of the signing: "I'm really pleased to have James on board. He's a young, hungry player with a great attitude.
"We had him watched several times at York City last season and we were impressed with what we saw of him.
"He had a terrific spell at York and has played virtually every one of their games for the last three years.
"He's a good athlete and can play in several positions, although he is predominantly a left-back."
