Car company JCT600 will be the main sponsors of Yorkshire cricket for the next three years.

The White Rose county have announced a lucrative six-figure deal which will take effect from the beginning of the next domestic campaign in April.

The Yorkshire team will wear the JCT600 brand on their shirts in all forms of the game, and they replace previous long-term sponsors Bradford and Bingley and, more recently, Welcome To Yorkshire.

A club statement said that “the deal will enable significant investment to continue into both the professional and up-and-coming Academy squads, and the two organisations will also be working closely together on a number of community and sport-led initiatives”.

Yorkshire chairman Colin Graves said: “The club are delighted to welcome JCT600 as their new official sponsor.

“The large number and wide spread of JCT600’s dealerships across the county means that it is a highly relevant brand to all of our supporters.

“I know that Martyn Moxon and all of our players will appreciate having the backing of such a strong business on our shirts as we look to drive on following our promising 2010 campaign.”

The financial implications will come as a major boost for the county who, along with a number of other clubs, have encountered difficulties over the last 12 months.

Bradford-based JCT600 have 48 dealerships throughout Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and the North East.
