Leeds United hope to get their League One promotion campaign back on track in a hugely important fixture at home to high-flying rivals hopefuls Swindon Town tomorrow.

The Elland Road outfit have won only three league games in 2010, seeing their 11-point lead at the top of the table turned into an 11-point deficit behind current leaders Norwich, leaving Leeds nervously looking over their shoulder at the chasing pack, which includes Millwall (third on goal difference), Saturday’s opponents Swindon (fourth, one point behind) and Charlton (fifth, three points behind).

Manager Simon Grayson is positive of getting a good result after seeing encouraging signs in the late 1-0 defeat at leaders Norwich City last time out. Grayson said: “Last week we looked a good team and worked hard, dominating possession.

“If we play like we did against Norwich then we’ll get to where we want to be.”

Grayson is refusing to rule out striker Luciano Becchio for the clash.

The striker took a kick to the head against Norwich and subsequently swallowed his tongue, although he was allowed to return on the team coach after hospital checks.

Grayson said: “Luciano’s coming on nicely. He’s in the hands of the medical staff so we’ll see if he can be involved.

“We’ll leave it late, but it has to be a medical decision and we’ll be advised.”

Leeds could also welcome back Gary McSheffrey and Aidan White after injury, and, with the exception of centre-back Paddy Kisnorbo, will be selecting from a full strength squad.

Swindon Town boss Danny Wilson is no stranger to the big games against Leeds United, the former Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday manager has faced them in the Premiership and Championship.

Leeds will be holding a minute’s silence ahead of the game, and players will also be wearing black armbands, as an act of remembrance for Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight, who were killed in Istanbul on the eve of the club’s UEFA Cup semi-final against Galatasaray.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the passing of the two Leeds supporters, and a bucket collection by friends and family of the pair will be held in aid of children’s cancer charity Candlelighters on the day of the game, in the name of Leeds Fans Remembrance.
