Earlier, Acomb’s Rose Gray had closed 16 and bull in her singles.

Carol Robson checked out on 98 and Severus colleague Jackie Simpson hit the tons as they snookered visitors Cueball 6-3 to move into top spot.

Red Lion had final pairing Mags Formstone and Michelle Kelly securing their win at Shepherd ‘A’.

Dawn Barker and Sandra Pallister were also last-game match-winners for Burton WMC against visitors St Paul’s.

Liz Jackson, Vicky McClaren and captain Doreen England set Woolpack on the road to victory at Leeman ‘B’, whose captain Barbara Russell starred.

In division one, Walnut Tree captain Carol Perrett, with four tons, inspired them as Flag ‘A’ went down 7-2.

Carole Layne fired two tons in her singles, then hit 140 and 100 in the pairs with Tramways ‘B’ captain Sue Lowery to edge the club side in front against visitors Slipper.

Ann Parkyn and Doreen Johnson levelled, then colleagues Anita Adams and Elaine Metcalfe snatched victory.

Nikki Judson, playing a lone-hand pairs, secured Beeswing match points against Tramways ‘A’.

Burnholme’s win also came from their final pairing – Dawn Scott and Jayne Robinson – in a close encounter against Flag ‘B’. Caroline Whittaker, Dawn and Charlotte Scott all hit double-ton plus scores.

Cueball were prevented from a total clearance by Ox captain Sandra Bruce.

Dick Turpin are top of division three despite being denied a full house by Shepherd ‘B’s Ann North.

Second-placed Ox were up against it as Red Lion sealed victory within the singles.

Michaela Strickland and Caz Finch bagged Beagle the result after a hard-fought battle with visitors Leeman ‘A’, whose Debbie Witts top scored.

A 92 finish from Freda Harman and 94 check from Chris Turgoose helped Sun oust Slip 7-2.
