SEVEN-time world snooker champion Stephen Hendry was too strong for Pickering potter Paul Davison in the first round of the European Players Tour Championship event in Bruges.
Davison fell 4-1 to the former world number one, who went on to the third round but was beaten by Ding Junhui. The event, played over the best of seven frames, was won by Shaun Murphy.
The latest results mean Davison is ranked at 83 in the world.
